By Electric Light Orchestra. By Jeff Lynne. Arranged by Liz Garnett. A Cappella,Pop. Octavo. 8 pages. Liz Garnett #3910643. Published by Liz Garnett (A0.856172).

It is a crazy project to take a song from a rock group whose very name evokes both the extravagance of their instrumentation and their use of technological interventions, and render it into a 4-part a cappella texture, isn't it? And yet, the Electric Light Orchestra's optimistic and uplifting tune works its cheerful magic just as happily in this version.

Originally written for male voices, this version is transposed up a major 3rd for use by mixed barbershop ensembles. It is notated using the clefs for male barbershop rather than SATB in the assumption that a mixed barbershop group may have both male and female voices on either of the inner parts.

Vocal ranges:
Tenor: D4 - E5
Lead: F#3 - A#4
Baritone: E3 - B4
Bass: B3 - E4
